The leaf of the mediterranean plant, Acanthus, has been used for thousands of years on Corinthian column capitals. It also has been a carved feature of important building pediments and fine English and Colonial American furniture. To us, it is a symbol of classic design, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Our name may not be memorable, but our work truly is.
At Acanthus, we offer several different levels of service for our clients.
Our design services are the most popular, while building and remodeling projects are a close second.
We also perform simple and complex renovations, and, because we specialize in 18th, 19th, and now 20th century American architecture, we also can help you with your restoration needs.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but appointments may be scheduled as late as 7:30 p.m.
Most people seeking an architect's services look for membership in the AIA, the American Institute of Architects. While this professional association provides excellent resources and news to its members, it simultaneously promotes bad architecture by encouraging design trends that lack style and warmth and, often, imagination.
